QUADROTTO, TONDINO AND THE MOON

This is the sweet story of a child square named Quadrotto, who was born out of curiosity, the same curiosity that drives him to know and explore the world: a square world, that moves and speaks like him. At night he sees the moon, so round and beautiful, yet so far away that he would have to learn to fly in order to know it. That’s when Quadrotto meets a peculiar guy who can never stay still: Tondino. The two realize right away that making friends with someone who speaks another language and is so different from you is not easy at all. A storm will rearrange forms and sounds, and with the help of the children in the audience the two will discover a new world, where everything is possible. Even meeting the moon.
QUADROTTO, TONDINO E LA LUNA is a play built through musical scenes on the theme of diversity. It is the tale of a friendship that grows step by step, through the encounter between angular and round forms and the interaction of round and angular sounds, oscillating between incomprehension and understanding. The two protagonists will be greatly helped by the children in the audience, who will be invited to join in the story in order to make the invisible visible. Only then will Quadrotto and Tondino understand how to merge their forms and fly and search for the moon together.
The play can also be performed in schools, fairs, and non-conventional spaces. Besides it can be performed with live music in theatrical spaces.
